Which Sunbeam F1 is current
Sunbeam has made three F1 lines:
- Original F1: Sunbeam's shop menu now has only an accessories category for it (cases, chargers, batteries).
- F1 Horizon: Sunbeam calls it "an upgrade to the original F1 series, with a larger battery, USB-C charging, stronger vibration." Its models showed "Out of stock" on Oct. 15, 2026.
- F1 Pro: the rugged line, with "a long-lasting battery, improved durability, water resistance, and a bright, clear screen." It is on sale in 13 models (Juniper, Spruce, Aspen, Hickory, Maple, Cypress, Redwood, Birch, Oak, Elm, Pine, Cedar and the talk-only Willow, which Sunbeam sells by contact only).
This page covers the F1 Pro. Sunbeam's shop also lists "Starlight" talk-and-text models at $359. [1][2][3][5][6]

What the models can and can't do
Every F1 Pro model leaves out a web browser, social media apps, an app store and video. Models differ in what they add. For example, Sunbeam lists the Juniper with text and picture messaging, camera, music player, weather, Waze and HERE navigation, Wi-Fi hotspot and text-only email; the Cedar has calling plus Bluetooth and Wi-Fi only.
Some features (voice-to-text, advanced weather and navigation, and NumberLink, which lets you use your number on other devices) need a paid Sunbeam subscription. Sunbeam phones can't send or receive RCS messages, so group chats must use MMS. [2][4][5]
Apps and Google
F1 Pro phones run Sunbeam's BasicOS and have no app store, so you can't install apps. Four models (Juniper, Spruce, Aspen and Hickory) include "Google's Waze app," which Sunbeam says "does not work well with the keypad and requires you to use the touchscreen." The other models have no Google apps. Text-only email works with Google, Microsoft, AOL and Yahoo accounts on the two email models. [4][5]
Where it is sold and how to get one
Sunbeam sells the F1 Pro from its online shop and through dealers. Prices on Oct. 15, 2026 were $389 for the email models (Juniper, Spruce) and $359 for the others. The phones are unlocked: Sunbeam says it "does not sell phone service," so you bring a plan from a carrier. [1][2][3][5]
Will it work in the US?
Sunbeam's spec sheet lists Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile in the US (and Rogers, Bell and Telus in Canada), with LTE bands 2, 3, 4, 5, 12, 13, 20 and 71 and 3G bands 2 and 5. Sunbeam notes the Juniper "is meant for North and South America and will not work in much of Europe, Africa, and Asia." Visual voicemail is "Not compatible with AT&T network." [1][4][5]
