What it is

HMD announced the HMD 2660 Flip on March 2, 2025, calling it "a stylishly reimagined classic crafted to rediscover distraction-free communication." It has a 2.8-inch main screen, a 1.77-inch outer screen, big keys, a 0.3 MP camera with a flash that doubles as a torch, FM radio, an MP3 player and a removable 1,450 mAh battery. HMD rates it IP54 for dust and splashes and says the front is "a glossy, mirrored, all-glass front plate." Colors are Cosy Black, Twilight Violet and Raspberry Red.

HMD says it has "a dedicated emergency button that allows you to enter an In Case of Emergency (ICE) contact" (press and hold the SOS key). [1][2][8]

HMD 2660 Flip vs Senior Edition vs Nokia 2660 Flip

HMD 2660 Flip 4G (2025): the model HMD sells now in Europe, with 64 MB of RAM, USB-C and IP54.
HMD 2660 Flip Senior Edition (October 2026): the same hardware per HMD's spec pages (Cosy Black only), plus Mary, an AI companion from the company inTouch, on a dedicated menu icon and button. inTouch calls it "a limited-edition trial." HMD includes a 5-hour free trial; after that, HMD's UK page says the service "can be activated for £16,90/month" (€19.90 a month in France), with "no automatic charges." You start a conversation by selecting the Mary icon and pressing the call button; HMD notes that "operator charges may apply." inTouch says "Mary is a companion, not an emergency service." Without the subscription the phone still works as a normal 2660 Flip.
Nokia 2660 Flip 4G (2022): the older Nokia-branded model, with 48 MB of RAM, Micro USB and Bluetooth 4.2. HMD's UK store marks it "Discontinued"; HMD India still sells it at ₹5,199 (Black and Blue in stock, Red out of stock, Nov. 7, 2026). Its India version has LTE bands 1, 3, 5, 8, 38, 39, 40 and 41.

[3][4][5][6][7][13][14][15]

Will it work in the US?

Unlikely. HMD lists two band versions:

Version	LTE (4G) bands
Europe	1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 28, 40
China	1, 3, 5, 8, 38, 39, 40, 41

T-Mobile's 4G LTE bands are 5, 4 and 66 plus Extended Range bands 12 and 71; AT&T lists 12/17/29, 5, 2, 4/66 and 30. The HMD 2660 Flip shares only band 5 and lacks bands 2, 4, 12, 13, 17, 66 and 71. AT&T says a phone "has to operate on 4G LTE network - AWS, 700, 850, 1900MHz bands" to work on its network, and T-Mobile says its 2G GSM network was retired as of Aug. 3, 2026. Check with your carrier before buying one for US use. [2][16][17][18][19]

Apps and Google

No Google apps and no app store. HMD lists the operating system as "S30+ (RTOS)", a real-time feature-phone system, not Android. HMD describes the phone as having "No social media apps" and lists built-in FM radio, an MP3 player (microSD card needed) and a camera with torch. HMD doesn't list WhatsApp or other installable apps.

On the Senior Edition, HMD says "There are no apps to download or passwords to remember. Mary is built into the phone." [1][2][4][8]

What's different

Removable 1,450 mAh battery; HMD lists up to 8.1 hours of talk time (single SIM, 4G)
USB-C charging, 3.5 mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.0 (HMD's 2025 press release says 4.2)
IP54 dust and splash resistance; HMD says the rating is "based on internal testing"
HMD's spec page lists no Wi-Fi, NFC or front camera
