Where it is sold and how to get one

Murena sells the GS6 and GS6 PRO with /e/OS. In its Oct. 2, 2026 FAQ post, Murena says they "can be purchased in Europe and Australia". The phone is not listed in Murena's US store as of Oct. 15, 2026.

Gigaset offers the same hardware under its own name with Android 15. /e/OS has an official build for the GS6 / GS6 PRO, so the /e/OS documentation lists it as a phone you can also install /e/OS on yourself, with a lockable bootloader.

For US buyers, one option is an overseas seller: KICKmobiles, a third-party store, lists a Gigaset GS6 PRO at £407.50 with worldwide delivery as of Oct. 15, 2026. That is Gigaset's version, and the listing title mixes up storage sizes, so confirm what you are buying. Will it work in the US?

Murena makes no US compatibility claim for it. Murena's spec sheet lists LTE bands 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38, 40 and 41 and 5G bands n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n20, n28, n38, n41, n77 and n78. It does not list LTE bands 4, 12, 13, 66 or 71. Murena's GS6 page names no US carriers (it only says its phones work with European carriers), and Murena does not sell it in the US. The phone supports VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling. Check the bands your carrier uses before importing one; see phone bands and US carriers. [1][2]

Apps and Google

There are no Google apps. /e/OS includes microG, an open-source stand-in for Google Play services, and the App Lounge store, which offers free Play Store apps (with an anonymous login), F-Droid open-source apps and web apps. Murena says most Android apps can be installed, in-app purchases aren't supported, and apps that depend heavily on Google services may not run properly. See /e/OS for details. [1][4][10]

Software support

Murena lists the GS6 with /e/OS based on AOSP 16 and "at least 8 years of software support". For its own Android version, Gigaset promises updates to Android 16 and 17 and seven years of security updates. The /e/OS security tracking page shows the GS6 on /e/OS 4.3 (released Sept. 21, 2026) with the September 2026 Android security bulletin, and a Gigaset vendor firmware dated December 2025. [1][6][11]

What's different

- Removable battery with IP68: the back opens with a plectrum for battery swaps, and Gigaset says the phone is still rated IP68. - Privacy button: a side button you can set to cut the camera and microphone (Murena calls this a software-based kill switch), or to turn on Do Not Disturb, flight mode or the torch. - Repair: Murena says you can replace the display module, battery cover, battery and SIM holder yourself. - Made in Germany: Gigaset says it is manufactured in Bocholt with 100% green electricity. - Warranty: 24 months, plus 12 months on the battery.
