What it is

The DIGNO Keitai 4 is a classic Japanese clamshell "keitai" (feature phone). Kyocera builds it; SoftBank and Y!mobile sell it. The main screen is a 3.4-inch full-wide VGA (854 x 480) LCD, and a 0.9-inch OLED sub-display on the outside shows the time and notifications.

Kyocera says it is waterproof (IPX5/IPX8) and dustproof (IP5X) and passes 10 MIL-STD-810H test items, including drops from 1.22 m onto steel, and that it can be washed with foaming hand soap and wiped with alcohol. The battery is a 1,500 mAh pack; Kyocera lists the battery pack and battery cover as dedicated options. SoftBank says it has Wi-Fi, tethering for up to 10 devices, FM radio, call recording, and more overseas roaming bands than the DIGNO Keitai 3. [1][3]

Apps and Google

This is a feature phone, not a smartphone. The Y!mobile user guide covers phone, mail and SMS, PC mail, a web browser, camera and QR-code reader, music and video, calendar, calculator and FM radio; a search of the whole guide finds no mention of Google or the Play Store. Y!mobile's product page greys out its "Android" feature icon for this model.

Google's list of Google Play supported devices (checked Oct. 15, 2026) has no entry for the DIGNO Keitai 4 or the A203KC. Kyocera DIGNO smartphones are on that list; this keitai is not. [2][4][5]

Where it is sold and how to get one

Japan (official): SoftBank's product page offers it in black and silver with a "予約・購入する" (reserve/buy) button that leads to SoftBank's online shop, which asks for a contract type. Y!mobile's product page listed a device price of ¥36,000, with a ¥14,400 discount for new lines and transfers from other carriers (¥21,600 paid in full), on Oct. 15, 2026, and says prices vary by store. Both are Japanese-language carrier stores for customers in Japan.

Outside Japan (third-party): Y2KPHONES, an online store that prices in pounds and advertises free worldwide shipping, lists the "Kyocera A202KC / A203KC Digno Keitai 4" from £129.99 (refurbished) to £199.99 (new, sealed), but every option showed out of stock on Oct. 15, 2026. Its listing says it runs "a custom version of Android 10" with Aurora Store and APKPure preinstalled. We have not checked that seller; an imported phone has no SoftBank or Kyocera warranty. See our guide to importing a phone to the US. [1][2][6]

Will it work in the US?

SoftBank publishes the band list. In Japan it uses LTE bands 1, 3 and 8. Overseas, SoftBank marks LTE bands 1, 2, 3, 4 and 8, W-CDMA bands I, II, IV, V and VIII, and GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz; it has no 5G. SoftBank adds that it does not guarantee the phone works on other companies' networks.

T-Mobile's LTE bands are 5, 4 and 66 plus Extended Range 12 and 71; AT&T's are 12/17/29, 5, 2, 4/66 and 30. The DIGNO Keitai 4 has bands 2 and 4 but none of the low bands (5, 12, 71). Expect patchy coverage at best, and check with your carrier before buying. See phone bands and US carriers. [7][8][9]

Questions people ask

Does the DIGNO Keitai 4 have Google Play or LINE?

It is not on Google's list of Google Play devices, and the Y!mobile manual mentions no Google apps or app store. It is a feature phone with built-in tools. [4][5]

Can I use the DIGNO Keitai 4 in the US?

Only partly. SoftBank lists LTE bands 2 and 4 for overseas use but no band 5, 12 or 71, which US carriers rely on for coverage. Check with your carrier. [7][8]

How much is the DIGNO Keitai 4?

Y!mobile listed a device price of ¥36,000 on Oct. 15, 2026, or ¥21,600 with its discount for new lines and number transfers from other carriers. [2]
