As of Oct. 15, 2026 it ships only to the EU, UK, Norway and Switzerland, so there is no official way to buy one in the US. [1]

Where it is sold and how to get one

Jolla sells the phone only through its own Jolla Shop. As of Oct. 15, 2026 the product page says it "Ships to EU, UK, Norway and Switzerland." Prices are €679 for 8 GB RAM / 256 GB storage and €749 for 12 GB / 256 GB, taxes included. Three colors are offered: The Orange, Snow White and Kaamos Black.

Jolla sells in limited batches. The page advertises a November 2026 batch of 2,000 units and says 15,000 units have been pre-ordered (its FAQ still mentions the October batch). Jolla says it uses batches because memory chip prices have been volatile, and that it locks the price you order at. You can cancel and get a full refund with the "Withdraw order" function.

US buyers: Jolla's FAQ says the first markets are the EU, UK, Switzerland and Norway, and that the US and Canada "are to be decided due course based on potential interest." We found no authorized US reseller or importer as of Oct. 15, 2026.

Jolla also sells a cheaper Sailfish phone, the Jolla C2 Community Phone, for €369. It has 4G only. [1][2]

Will it work in the US?

Jolla's FAQ answers yes for travel: "we have designed the cellular band configuration to enable global traveling as much as possible, including e.g. roaming in the U.S. carrier networks." It also says the band setup was designed with "major U.S. carrier networks" in mind for possible future sales.

Bands are the frequency ranges a phone's radio can use. Jolla's list includes LTE bands 2, 4, 5, 12, 17, 25, 26, 41 and 66 and 5G bands n2, n5, n41, n66 and n77, among others (full list in the spec table). Compare them with your carrier's bands; our bands and US carriers guide explains how.

Jolla has not published US carrier certification or VoLTE (voice over LTE, needed for calls on US networks now that 3G is gone) approval for any US carrier. Check with your carrier before relying on it as your main phone. [1]

Apps and Google

The phone runs Sailfish OS 5, a Linux system with its own apps and the Jolla Store. There is no Google Play Store and no Google apps.

Android apps run in Jolla's AppSupport layer. Jolla's help pages say Sailfish OS "does not support the Google Play Store client app" and recommend Aurora Store (which downloads Play Store apps without a Google account on the phone) and F-Droid, both offered in the Jolla Store. Jolla also says it "cannot guarantee 100% compatibility," and that some apps that need Google Play Services may not install or run.

AppSupport includes microG, an open-source stand-in for Google Play Services; the Sailfish OS 5.2.0.20 release notes (Oct. 13, 2026) list a microG update. Jolla says you can also go "fully de-Googled whenever you wish – simply by shutting down the Android apps," and the Privacy Switch can be set to turn Android apps off. [1][3][4]

Software support

Jolla promises "Long-term OS support, guaranteed for minimum 5 years." The phone launched with Sailfish OS 5. The 5.2.0 releases have come out for the Jolla Phone first: versions 5.2.0.15 (July 20, 2026) through 5.2.0.20 (Oct. 13, 2026), according to Jolla's release notes.

The 5.2.0.20 notes list fixes for Android app calls, AppSupport Bluetooth and IPv6 handling. [1][4]
