Will it work in the US?

Furi Labs answers this in its FAQ: "T-Mobile and T-Mobile MVNOs (like Ting) work well. Verizon does NOT work - they only allow whitelisted phones. AT&T has registration and data issues." It recommends T-Mobile or a T-Mobile MVNO (a carrier that resells T-Mobile's network) in the US.

FuriOS release notes also mention VoLTE (voice over LTE) fixes and MMS fixes for T-Mobile US. The published LTE bands include 2, 4, 12, 66 and 71, and 5G bands include n41, n71 and n77; see the spec table and our bands and US carriers guide. [1][2][7]

Apps and Google

FuriOS is a Debian-based Linux system with the Phosh interface. You install Linux apps from the Software store or with apt, Debian's package tool.

Android apps run in a container that runs LineageOS 20, according to Furi Labs. You start it in Settings > Android; it is off by default. Furi Labs says you can install Android apps from Aurora Store or F-Droid, and its changelog says the container integrates microG (an open-source replacement for Google Play Services) and F-Droid. The container can share files, NFC and GPS with the Linux side.

Limits, in Furi Labs' words: "The only apps that won't work are ones that require the full Google Play Store and all it's requirements. This includes some banking apps and of course apps that have root protection." [2][7][8]

Software support

The latest FuriOS release listed on the changelog is 14.0.3 (July 1, 2026). It added face unlock and Vulkan graphics support and rebased on GNOME and Debian as of June 20, 2026. Furi Labs says you check for updates under Settings > System > Software Updates.

Furi Labs advertises "long-term Linux support" for the FLX1s+ but does not give an end date. [1][2][7]

Questions people ask

Does the Furi Labs FLX1s+ work on Verizon?

No. Furi Labs says Verizon only allows approved phones and the FLX1/FLX1s is not on its list. It recommends T-Mobile or a T-Mobile MVNO. [2]

What is the difference between the FLX1s and the FLX1s+?

Furi Labs describes the FLX1s+ as the FLX1s with an upgraded 48 MP back camera; the FLX1s has a 20 MP back camera. Other listed specs match. The FLX1s is out of stock. [1][3]

Can the FLX1s+ run Android apps?

Yes, in a LineageOS 20 container with microG. Apps that need the full Google Play Services, including some banking apps, won't work, according to Furi Labs. [2][7][8]

Does Furi Labs ship to the US?

Yes. It ships worldwide except to Iran and North Korea, for a flat $27 per 500 g; import duties are paid by the buyer. [2]
