The Alcatel Go Flip 4 is a 4G flip phone from TCL's Alcatel brand, running KaiOS 3.0, a lightweight system for keypad phones. Alcatel's page sends buyers to T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile, but on Oct. 15, 2026 neither carrier's link showed the phone any more; Metro's phone list showed the newer TCL FLIP 4 instead. [1][2][3]

Is the Alcatel Go Flip 4 still sold?
Alcatel's US product page is still online, and its "Buy Now" menu offers two choices: T-Mobile and MetroPCS (Metro by T-Mobile). On Oct. 15, 2026:
- The T-Mobile link (t-mobile.com/cell-phone/alcatel-go-flip-4) showed T-Mobile's message "The page you requested was not found on this server."
- The Metro link opened Metro's general prepaid phone list instead of a Go Flip 4 page. That list included a "TCL FLIP 4."
We treat the Go Flip 4 as no longer sold new by its carriers. TCL's US site now lists the FLIP 4 5G, FLIP 3, TCL Classic and TCL FLIP Pro as its flip phones. [1][2][3][4]

Where to get one now
Look for leftover or used stock from third-party sellers, and check that a used phone isn't locked to T-Mobile or Metro before you buy. Metro says a phone bought from a carrier is "generally programmed to operate only on that carrier's network" until unlocked; Metro unlocks phones it sold 365 days after activation, and T-Mobile unlocks phones it sold under its own rules. For a current KaiOS flip, the TCL Flip Pro at Verizon uses the same Snapdragon 215 chip, 2.8-inch screen and 1850 mAh battery. [1][5][6][7]
Apps and Google
The Go Flip 4 runs KaiOS 3.0, not Android, so it can't install Play Store apps. Alcatel says KaiOS 3.0 "allows you to navigate popular apps with ease," with Calendar and Email built in.
Alcatel doesn't list which Google apps are preinstalled. KaiOS says its KaiStore comes preinstalled on KaiOS phones outside India and "has over 700 apps, including Facebook, Google Maps, and the Google Assistant." KaiOS says Google Maps, Search and YouTube are available on KaiOS phones, but adds that "some features and availability vary by device." [1][8][9]
Will it work in the US?
Alcatel lists LTE bands 2, 4, 5, 12, 25, 26, 41 (with HPUE), 66 and 71, VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling. It was sold through T-Mobile and Metro. VoLTE matters because US carriers shut down their 3G networks in 2022. On another carrier, check compatibility first. [1][10]
