As of Oct. 15, 2026 Google still sells them new from $799, even though the Pixel 11 went on sale in August 2026, and it promises seven years of OS and security updates for them. You install the new system yourself, or buy one with GrapheneOS preinstalled from a third-party seller. [1][2][3][4][5]

Where to get one and how

Buy it unlocked and install a system yourself. The Google Store still lists the Pixel 10 (from $799), Pixel 10 Pro (from $999), Pixel 10 Pro XL (from $1,199) and Pixel 10 Pro Fold (from $1,799) as of Oct. 15, 2026, though some colors and storage sizes are out of stock. Pick the Unlocked option, which Google says works with any major carrier. Carrier versions can have bootloader unlocking turned off, which stops you from installing another system (see the next section).

Buy it with GrapheneOS already installed. Some third-party sellers install GrapheneOS for a markup. GrapheneOS says it is not affiliated with or endorsing any of them and recommends installing it yourself. Examples as of Oct. 15, 2026 (no endorsement):

- Nitrokey (Germany) sells all four models as NitroPhones, from 737.10 € (sale price) for the NitroPhone 10, and says it delivers worldwide with duties and taxes included in the price (some countries get an individual quote). - ameriDroid, a US seller, lists refurbished Pixel 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL phones with GrapheneOS at $1,345 and $1,695. - PrivacyPortal (UK) lists the Pixel 10 from £529.99 (preloved) and ships to the US. Its phones are UK/EU models, and it warns that some carriers block VoLTE (calling over 4G) on imported Pixels by accepting only models sold in their own country.

If you buy one preinstalled, GrapheneOS says to check the verified boot key hash and factory reset the phone before use. [1][3][6][7][8][12][13][14][15][16]

How to de-Google it yourself

A Pixel comes with Google's Android, with Gemini and other Google AI features built in. To use one without Google, you unlock its bootloader (the lock that lets the phone start only the maker's software) and install a different system yourself. GrapheneOS's guide, for example, asks for a USB cable and a computer (or another Android phone or tablet), and notes that unlocking the bootloader wipes all data on the phone.

Two systems list all four Pixel 10 models on their own supported-device lists (checked Oct. 15, 2026):

CalyxOS supports the Pixel 10a but none of these four models, and the /e/OS and iodéOS lists include no Pixel 10 model.

Buy an unlocked phone. CalyxOS says Pixels from Verizon can't install CalyxOS because Verizon prohibits bootloader unlocking, and GrapheneOS says phones sold through carriers may be locked in a way that prevents installing it, mainly with US carriers. [1][2][9][12][17][18][19][20][21]

Apps and Google

Which apps work depends on the system you install:

Whichever you choose, some banking apps may refuse to run: GrapheneOS calls banking apps a particularly problematic group for alternative systems. Google says Google Wallet tap-to-pay may not work on phones that run a custom ROM (a system other than the factory one) or have an unlocked bootloader. More in our guide to banking apps on a de-Googled phone. [17][20][22][23]

Will it work in the US?

Yes, if you buy a US model. Google sells the unlocked Pixel 10 in the US and says the unlocked version works with any major carrier. The US Pixel 10, 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL have no SIM card slot; they use eSIM only. The 10 Pro Fold has a nano SIM slot as well. [6][9][10][11]

Software support

Google promises seven years of Android and security updates for Pixel 8 and later phones, counted from when each first went on sale on the US Google Store. GrapheneOS's table of Google's minimum support dates lists August 2032 for the Pixel 10, 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL, and October 2032 for the 10 Pro Fold. A system you install yourself gets updates from its own project for as long as that project builds it for your model, so check its device page. [1][5]

If you choose GrapheneOS

GrapheneOS lists all four models as officially supported. It says its updates for a Pixel typically end shortly after Google's minimum support ends, and its Oct. 6, 2026 release (2026100600) covers all four models.

The Pixel 10 series has hardware memory tagging, which GrapheneOS uses by default to make common memory bugs harder to exploit. GrapheneOS also adds its own features, such as Network and Sensors permission toggles, a USB-C port setting, auto-reboot and a duress PIN.

Existing eSIMs work on GrapheneOS, but adding a new one needs Google's eSIM component, which is off by default; you turn it on in Settings > Network & internet > eSIM support. That matters on the US Pixel 10, 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL, which have no SIM card slot. [1][9][10][17][24][25]

Questions people ask

Which systems can replace Google's Android on the Pixel 10?

As of Oct. 15, 2026, GrapheneOS and LineageOS officially support all four Pixel 10 models. CalyxOS, /e/OS and iodéOS don't list them. [1][2][18][19][21]

Is the Pixel 11 supported too?

Not yet. As of Oct. 15, 2026 the Pixel 11 is not on the supported-device lists of GrapheneOS, LineageOS, CalyxOS, /e/OS or iodéOS. [1][2][18][19][21][26]

Does the Pixel 10 Pro Fold work without Google?

Yes. GrapheneOS and LineageOS both list the 10 Pro Fold (codename rango), and Google's minimum support for it runs to October 2032. [1][2]

Can I use a Verizon Pixel 10?

Not with another system. CalyxOS says Verizon Pixels can't have their bootloader unlocked, and GrapheneOS says carrier versions may be locked the same way. Buy the unlocked version. [1][12][18]
